Mural Wright

Mural Wright, a beloved soul of 97 years, passed away in the divine presence of Jesus and the Saints in Heaven Sunday afternoon, Aug. 25, 2024, with her family at her bedside.

Wright will lie in state at Elgin Funeral Home, 712 N. Avenue C in Elgin, on Friday, Sept. 6, from noon to 4 p.m.

Family and friends will receive guests at Saint Paul Baptist Church of Austin Friday, Sept. 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. A Home-Going Celebration will be conducted at Providence District Tabernacle of Cedar Creek Saturday, Sept. 7, at 11 a.m., with Reverend Melvin Manor officiating. The interment will follow at Saul Wright Cemetery.
