Paul was born Aug. 19, 1942, in Elgin, to Millard and Sarah Walker. He graduated from Elgin High School and earned a degree in education from the University of Texas. Paul dedicated more than 30 years to teaching math at Elgin Junior High, where he inspired and mentored countless students.

In addition to his teaching career, Paul was deeply involved in his community. He coached softball for many years with Elgin Little League, impacting the lives of many young athletes. Paul was also a lifelong member of McDade Baptist Church, where he formed lasting friendships and was known for his kind and generous spirit.

Paul had a passion for working with wood and tinkering with electronics, and he spent many hours pursuing these hobbies, always eager to learn and create.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Millard and Sarah Pauline Walker, and his brothers, Emmitt Ray Walker, Millard Austin (Bo) Walker Jr. and Bobby Dan Walker. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Helen Walker; Sherry Walker; nephews, Charles Walker and Troy Walker; nieces, Donna and Lanny Brown; greatnieces, Kelsey and Emily Brown, RubyLaine Walker; and great-nephew, Bradley Brown.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, at Mc-Dade Cemetery in McDade.
